Gaia (ガイア, Gaia) is one of the supporting characters in KamiKatsu: Working for God in a Godless World. She is one of the "Archons" and has the ability to control the outer beasts. However, due to the small number of followers, she is unable to control most of the outer beasts, which tends to cause them to run amok.
Appearance[]
Despite her looking long generally tall in a few scenes her usual appearance is almost the same as Mitamas looking like a lolicon which is true when the scene of her feeding soup to her sick children shows up.
Personality[]
Gaia is genuinely a sweet person to who follows her is found of cyan for treating her as her Mom Gaia is a bit manipulative
Plot[]
Gaia was the next villain in the series after Dakini. She had no apparent motives for destroying Yukito's village, but in reality, she did, reasoning that her outer beast had ravaged the village because none of them would listen to her. Whether this is true or not is uncertain. Later, Yukito and the gang introduced her to the village and discovered that she was another Archon, but with only a meager following of 5, unlike Mitama's 10,000 at that time. Despite her small following, Gaia constantly bullied and teased Mitama after Mitama's follower count decreased.
Yukito had a brilliant idea to start a band with Mitama as the idol and Gaia as the lead drummer, with Atar, Alural, and Siluril as the vocalists and bassist/guitarist. After the band became successful, Yukito had previously asked Bertrand to spy on Gaia to find out what she was doing before the idol band started to play. Bertrand later reported that Gaia had a family of 5 followers who treated her as their mother because she "saved them from incoming danger," though in reality, she had only exploited them to gain followers.
Yukito and Mitama later overworked Gaia by making her work 24/7, without letting her see her family in the woods. However, Yukito had preplanned this by calling Dakini to destroy Gaia's family, causing the children to favor Dakini over Gaia. Three of them successfully did, but the other two were away hunting. Gaia told those two that she would swim to the ocean to awaken the beast she created, called "Typhon."
After Typhon's awakening, the gang tried to escape from Gaia with Truck-kun as she chased them, having seen through their plans and being overworked so she couldn't see her family. Dakini was used to distract Gaia's Family. Typhon managed to kill Yukito, but since Mitama existed, Yukito couldn't die permanently. Mitama revived Yukito 300 times, exhausting herself in the process and losing power, as they started believing more in Atar, who was a vocalist/bassist in the band and played for them instead of Mitama.
Atar sacrificed her follower count to Mitama for a power boost (with the help of Loki). This led Mitama to summon a titan, and an epic battle ensued between Gaia and Yukito allowing Mitama to impale Gaia after Yukito distracted her. After Gaia's defeat, the three children that Dakini convinced no longer adored Gaia as their mother, but Cyan still did, leaving her as Gaia's only remaining follower. Yukito later decided to keep Gaia alive for the future, planning to use her to take down Loki.
